Hi, I have a problem with Internet Explorer. I can't change the start page because the field and the buttons are read-only. I don't know why. My OS is Windows XP, I'm dawned with Windows Update and I have administrator privilege. I think that the problem began when I installed Norton Antivirus.
    Can you help me ?
Thank you very much for any answers.

Goto [Start] -> [Run] and type: gpedit.msc
    Press [Ok].

If all is well, you should see the Group Policy editor. **You are essentially editing the registry at this point, so use caution.

    Navigate to:
    "User Configuration/Windows Components/Internet Explorer"

You will see a setting called, "Disable Changing Home Page Settings".

    Set it to [Disabled].

Close the gpedit window and see if that helps.
