Microsoft Excel: Zip Codes converted to csv files

Every time I convert my drop ship lists from .xls files
to .csv for import into UPS shipping software, the csv
file drops the preceding zero on the east coast zip codes.
How do I fix it?

Format the column as "00000" (or however many digits a zip code is)
